Pro-Israel, Pro-Church Or Pro-God?

Hebrews 12:25-29
Hear the Heavenly Voice

25 See that you do not refuse Him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven,
26 whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.”
27 Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
29 For our God is a consuming fire.

In times like these, we need to be careful, not refusing to listen when God speaks. In the past, many people refused to listen to Him when He warned them on earth through Moses at Mount Sinai. Thus, they did not escape when He had to punish them.

Now God is warning us from heaven. So it will be worse for us if we refuse to listen to Him. When He spoke before, His voice shook the earth. But now He has promised, “Once again I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.”

The words “once again” clearly show us that everything that was made will be destroyed. These are the things that can be shaken. And only the things that cannot be shaken will remain.

So let us be thankful because we have a kingdom that cannot be shaken. We should worship God in a way that pleases Him. So let us worship Him with respect and fear, because our God is like a fire that burns things up.

Now, we have many groups on earth. Pro-Israel, pro-Gaza, pro-Life, pro-Church, pro-This and pro-That. But what we should really be concerned is this: Are we pro-God? Are we seeking to do His will or our own will?

What are we zealous about? Israel? Church? God? Or other agendas?

In the past, Israel had committed sins that the Lord had to punish her. She is doing the same in the present. Like Israel, not everything the Church does is pleasing in the sight of God. The history of the Church is filled with things and events that are not glorious and worthy of His Holy name.

We can be pro-Israel and pro-Church, and yet not pro-God. Only a remnant are pro-God, seeking Him and finding Him. The interesting fact is that if we are truly pro-God, we will be both pro-Israel and pro-Church but in the way that truly pleases Him.

One thing for sure about the Kingdom of God is that it is unshakeable. It does not depend on who wins the election, who becomes the President or who becomes the Prime Minister. It does not change every four years!

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Our salvation does not depend on a leader elected by us. The name of our Saviour is Jesus. And He does not change. His divine position cannot be shaken!

If we are truly pro-God, we will serve Him acceptably with reverence and godly fear. We too will not be shaken even in times of tribulations, trials and troubles.
