Maintain Our Life with God
Jude 16-25
Apostates Predicted
16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own
lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to
gain advantage.
17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken
before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:
18 how they told you that there would be mockers in the last
time who would walk according to their own ungodly lusts.
19 These are sensual persons, who cause divisions, not having the
Spirit.
Maintain Your Life with God
20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most
holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy
of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 And on some have compassion, making a distinction;
23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of
the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.
Glory to God
24 Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling,
And to present you faultless
Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,
25 To God our Savior,
Who alone is wise,
Be glory and majesty,
Dominion and power,
Both now and forever.
Amen.
Dear friends, we must always remember what the apostles of our
Lord Jesus Christ said before.
They said, “In the last days, there will be people who will mock
God. They will do only what they want to do—things that are against
God.”
These people are in the midst of us, and they will divide us. They
do only what their sinful selves want to do. They do not have the
Spirit of God.
These relentless faultfinders always complain and blame others. They always do the
evil things they want to do. They brag about themselves. The only
reason they say good things about other people is to get what they
want.
But dear friends, let us persevere in our faith by building
ourselves up strong in Christ. Praying with the Holy Spirit, keeping
ourselves firm in God’s love, and waiting upon the Lord as He gives
us strength each day! His tender mercies never fail or cease, and
His love and life continues to grow and flow in us!
Therefore, we should show mercy to people who have doubts and
questions. We should bring them to Christ, taking them out of the
fire. They need the Lord, and they need to be saved.
We need to show mercy to others as God is merciful to us, having the
holy fear of God in our hearts! We do not desire that our clothes be
found again dirty and stained with sins.
Praise God that He is strong and mighty. He is able to help us, and
keep us from falling into sinful lifestyles.
He is able to bring us before His glory without any wrongs or faults
to be found in us! He will give us great joy.
He is the only wise God. He is the One who saves us.
To Him be glory, greatness, power, and authority through Jesus
Christ our Lord for all time past, now, and forever. Amen.
